If burdensome state or local policies are threatening your community's short-term rental industry, the VRMA Advocacy Fund can help you fight back with financial support to demonstrate the economic impact of short-term rentals.
Grants are open only to VRMA members in good standing. Applications must be for imminent projects or projects completed within one year of submission. Funds cannot be awarded for general operation costs of groups.
Advocacy Fund Grants
Timing: Occurs twice a year, every Spring and Fall
Award: $20,000 maximum
Financial assistance is available to provide support to state, local and regional VRMA-affiliated coalitions or organizations to help address a legislative, regulatory or ballot issue that has national significance or is a common industry problem whose resolution could be precedent-setting and might not succeed without financial support from VRMA. Priority will be given to projects that match funds or are able to fund independent research to protect and promote the industry.
